Clams DiMaggio

This is an old recipe that I have been making for years. Serve this with a bowl of clam chowder and a salad and you have a fantastic meal. It is always more impressive if you have clam shells to serve this in.
Ingredients
- 7 oz can of minced clams shopping list
- 7 oz can of crabmeat shopping list
- 1/2 stick of melted butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs shopping list
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1 Tbsp chopped onion shopping list
- 2 Tbsp heavy cream shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp oregano shopping list
- 2 dashes of hot sauce (or to taste) shopping list
- 2 tsp lemon juice shopping list
- 1/4 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled shopping list
How to make it
- Drain clams and crab, but reserve the liquid.
- Mix all ingredients except bacon. Add in clams and crab and reserved liquid to mixture (it will be sticky).
- Place mixture in a baking dish or in shells.
- Top with bacon.
- Place under broiler for 2 minutes.
- Serve hot.
