Clams DiMaggio Recipe
This is an old recipe that I have been making for years. Serve this with a bowl of clam chowder and a salad and you have a fantastic meal. It is always more impressive if you have clam shells to serve this in.

Ingredients
  • 7 oz can of minced clams
  • 7 oz can of crabmeat
  • 1/2 stick of melted butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 2 dashes of hot sauce (or to taste)
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled

Directions
  1. Drain clams and crab, but reserve the liquid.
  2. Mix all ingredients except bacon. Add in clams and crab and reserved liquid to mixture (it will be sticky).
  3. Place mixture in a baking dish or in shells.
  4. Top with bacon.
  5. Place under broiler for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
