Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash cayenne
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream

Directions
  1. Cook onion and parsley in butter 2 minutes.
  2. Blend in flour, salt and cayenne; add sour cream gradually, stirring constantly. Heat to boiling and continue to cook until thickened.
  3. Variation: Brown Sour Cream Gravy -- make gravy in roasting pan with 2 tablespoons melted fat from meat. Increase flour to 3 tablespoons and brown in fat.
