How to make it

  • Cream sugar and butter until light
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
  • Spoon flour into dry measuring cup
  • Level off and pour onto waxed paper
  • Add baking powder, soda and salt; stir well to blend
  • Add blended dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream and vanilla
  • Mix until smooth
  • Spread in well-greased 9" square pan
  • Sprinkle with Cinnamon Nut Topping (recipe to follow)
  • Bake at 350F for 45-50 minutes.
