Taco Ring

- 1 pound lean ground beef, cooked and drained shopping list
- 1 package taco seasoning mix shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded shopping list
- 2 tablespoons water shopping list
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls shopping list
- 1 medium green bell pepper shopping list
- 1/2 head lettuce, chopped or shredded shopping list
- 1 large ripe tomato, seeded and diced shopping list
- 1 small sweet onion, diced shopping list
- 1/2 cup black olives, sliced shopping list
- 1 cup salsa shopping list
- 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In bowl, combine cooked beef, taco seasoning (I use less than the entire package), cheese and water.
- Taste and adjust seasonings if desired.
- On pizza pan, arrange individual crescent rolls with bases overlapping and points facing outward.
- It should look like a "sun" with a 5 inch diameter circle in center.
- Spoon meat evenly over rolls, mounding it about 2 inches high and 2 inches wide around entire circle.
- Use hands to mound into a ring shape if needed.
- Fold roll "points" loosely over filling to center. Filling will not be completely covered.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cut top off green bell pepper. Remove membranes and seeds. Fill pepper with salsa.
- Arrange taco ring on serving plate.
- Place filled pepper in center of ring.
- Mound lettuce, onion, tomato and olive around pepper.
- Serve sour cream on the side.
