Rice Pudding Upgraded

- 2/3 cup water shopping list
- 2/3 cup Minute Rice shopping list
- dash of salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup whole milk shopping list
- 1 egg yolk slightly beaten shopping list
- 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup raisins shopping list
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1 tbsp butter shopping list
How to make it
- Add the salt to the water and bring to a rolling boil
- Stir in the rice, cover and remove from heat
- Let stand 5 minutes
- Blend the egg yolk and milk
- Mix egg and milk thoroughly into the rice
- Add sugar and raisins
- Add the cinnamon, nutmeg and butter
- Mix well
- Return to heat
- Heat until boiling again, stirring constantly
- Remove from heat
- Let stand at least 1 hour
- This dish may be served cold or warm.
