How to make it

  • Add the salt to the water and bring to a rolling boil
  • Stir in the rice, cover and remove from heat
  • Let stand 5 minutes
  • Blend the egg yolk and milk
  • Mix egg and milk thoroughly into the rice
  • Add sugar and raisins
  • Add the cinnamon, nutmeg and butter
  • Mix well
  • Return to heat
  • Heat until boiling again, stirring constantly
  • Remove from heat
  • Let stand at least 1 hour
  • This dish may be served cold or warm.

    Rice Pudding...always gives a home spun feel on eating this dessert,never used minute rice before...but,will give it a try.
