Almond Pound Cake

- Cake: shopping list
- 1 cup of butter shopping list
- 2 cups of sugar shopping list
- 5 eggs shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of almond extract shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract shopping list
- 2 cups of flour shopping list
- Glaze: (optional; or sprinkle with desired amount of confectioner's sugar) shopping list
- 4 tablespoons of butter shopping list
- 2 cups of confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of milk shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract or 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs; beating each separately before adding.
- Add almond and vanilla extracts and flour.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes in Bundt pan or 2 small loaf pans.
- Remove from pan and allow to cool completely.
- Melt butter in a saucepan or microwave.
- Place powdered sugar into a medium size bowl.
- Add the melted butter to the powdered sugar.
- Add milk.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract or 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla.
- Beat until smooth and creamy, adding a little more milk if necessary.
- Drizzle over cake.
