BLACKBERRY FROZEN YOGURT

- Ingredients: shopping list
- 5 cups fresh or frozen blackberries shopping list
- 1/3 cup water shopping list
- 2 Tbs. lemon juice shopping list
- 1 cup sugar or ( sugar substitute equivalent to 1 cup sugar ) shopping list
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 4 cups ( 32-oz ) Edy's fat-free no sugar added frozen vanilla yogurt ( or any other brand ) shopping list
How to make it
- In a food processor or blender, Add blackberries, water and lemon juice cover and puree. Strain blackberries, reserving juice and pulp. Discard seeds. Return to pureed blackberries to food processor or blender; add sugar or sugar substitute and vanilla. Cover and process until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine yogurt and blackberry mixture. Fill cylinder of ice cream freezer two-thirds full; freeze according to the manufacturer's directions. Refrigerate remaining mixture until ready to freeze. When yogurt is frozen, transfer to a freezer container; freeze for 2 – 4 hours before serving.
- Serving size: ¾ cup , Calories per serving: 189, Fat: 2g, Cholesterol: 7mg, Sodium: 80, Carbohydrate: 36g, Fiber: 3g, Protein: 6g
- Diabetic Friendly: only if having ½ of the serving size.
