Antique Apples

- 4 c water shopping list
- 2 Regular tea bags shopping list
- 1 c sugar shopping list
- pn cinnamon and ginger shopping list
- 2 Strips lemon zest shopping list
- 3 lb Golden delicious -OR- gravenstien apples shopping list
- 1/2 c orange marmalade shopping list
- 2 tb triple sec shopping list
- 4 lemon slices for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Bring 4 cups of water to boil. Remove from heat add tea bags, sugar, spices and lemon zest. Let stand about 5 minutes. Peel, core, and quarter apples. Remove tea bags and bring liquid to boil again. Cook apples in liquid about 5 minutes or just til cooked through. Remove with slotted spoon and place in serving dish to cool. In small pan, combine marmalade and liqueur, bring to simmer,stirring well. Pour over apples, garnish with the quartered lemon slices.
