How to make it

  • In small bowl,combine thyme,savory,salt and pepper. Rub mixture evenly on pieces of chicken.
  • In a large bowl,place flour. Dredge chicken in flour,shaking to remove excess.
  • In large dutch oven,heat oil. Brown chicken,in batches,on all sides. Remove from pan,and set aside
  • Add onion,carrot and garlic to Dutch oven and cook untilvegetables are tender,approximately 3 mins. Add chicken broth,bring to boil.
  • Return chicken to pot and bring mixture to brisk simmer. Simmer until chicken is fork tender and falling off the bone.,approx. 1 hour. Add peas,and cook till tender,10 mins for fresh and 5 mis for frozen. Taste and adjust seasoning,if desired. Serve over rice
