I got this recipe from another recipe site. Not sure if we are suppose to mention names. It is easy to make and so good. I put 6 servings but those are small. I am ashamed to say that my hubby and I have finished off the whole square pan in one eveni... More

Ingredients
  • 1 c. Bisquick
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 butter or margerine melted
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 can (29 oz.) sliced peaches, drained

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 375 ยบ
  2. Stir together Bisquick, milk, and nutmeg in ungreased square baking dish (8x8x2)
  3. Stir in melted butter till blended.
  4. Stir together sugar and peaches.
  5. Spoon over batter.
  6. Bake 50 to 60 minutes untill golden.

This sounds so similar to the very first cobbler I ever made. It was so good I still remember it. (I have a low delight level)


How much butter?


Used my home made biscuit mix. Looks great. Haven't sliced into it yet.

Alterations


Made a second cobbler. Used 1.5 cup biscuit mix. Stirred in the milk a little at a time so dough would not be so lumpy. Turned out great. Not so much soup left on the bottom of the dish.
