Creamed onions and bacon

Ingredients
- 16 medium onions****** shopping list
- 1/2 lb bacon shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 4 TBSP. flour shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list

- to make this dish faster and easier you can use the frozen pearl onions shopping list

- to make the cream sauce richer you can use part milk/ part half and half... personally i use all half and half when I make creamed onions shopping list
How to make it
- cook onions in slowly boiling water until tender...drain
- fry bacon in a large frying pan until crisp
- remove bacon and pour off the fat
- melt butter in the frying pan....stir in the flour
- stir in the milk until smooth...cook until thickened
- add onions and the bacon to the cream sauce
- season with salt and pepper
