Butterscotch Cashew Bars

This is an easy bar cookie to make....sweet, salty, nutty........moist. Can't remember where I got the recipe...but the kids love it
Ingredients
- 1 C packed brown sugar shopping list
- ½ C butter or margarine, softened shopping list
- 1 C butterscotch morsels, melted shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- ½ tsp salt shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 ½ C flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 C coarsely chopped cashews shopping list
- 1 T powdered sugar (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- 350 oven ungreased 9 x 13 pan
- Beat brown sugar, butter, melted butterscotch chips, vanilla, salt and eggs on medium, 2 minutes or until creamy.
- Stir in flour and baking powder until mixed, stir in cashews.
- Spread in ungreased 9x13 pan.
- Bake 22 to 25 minutes or until set and edges are dry.
- Cool completely, about an hour. Sprinkle with powdered sugar , if desired
- Cut into desired size bars.
