Yep Jett. I had not made these for a couple of years but when the request was submitted for Xmas we had to dig back in the old notes as I had forgotten the proportions.

I agree dugger - the hardest part is the mixing but they are well worth it! Easy as 1,2,3!!!! 1 lb of sausage, 2 cups cheese and 3 cups Bisquik

In answer to Breezy, there is no liquid mentioned on this old recipe. And as Mini said it might be easier if the sausage was at room temperature. Seems I always take the roll out of the fridge and open it.

I love this recipe but mine came from the Jimmy Dean sausage package and it has Worchestershire sauce .At room temp and with warm hands mine always mixes easily.I am a very tiny person.I also use a tiny ice cream type scoop to make them.

Answer to a couple of questions brought up in comments. The sausage goes into the mix raw. It has to be broken up into small pieces so it will cook quickly. Yes you can mix them and refrigerate raw the day before. But if you do let them come to room temperature before baking so they will cook through. You can bake them the day ahead but if you do you need to warm them back up in the oven before serving.

Is the sausage raw or cooked when mixed in with Bisquick and cheese? Is there any liquid to be added? Sorry, just confused.

So this sounds easy right? Trust me unless you have a Popeye arm it can be a B*&(h. This is a very dry mix and it take a lot of determination to get it all blended. Which is why we changed the recipe to the newer Mini Muffins.

But the other side is... it does taste great and it was requested for Christmas by some of my more masochistic relatives. LOL.
