How to make it

  • In a succepan combine water and rice
  • Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to a simmer
  • Simmer for about 20 minutes, until water is absorbed
  • Set aside and keep warm
  • Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat
  • Cook the ground meat, green onions,and garlic for 5-7 minutes until meat is browned
  • Add the carrot, Hoisin and soy sauce, stirring frequently until heated through
  • Remove from heat and stir in sesame oil and chili sauce
  • To serve: add rice to stir fry mixture and place on leaves of the lettuce and wrap up to enclose the filling
  • Let everyone wrap their own and serve with your favorite Asian dipping sauce
