Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir thoroughly. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer 1 minute. Cool.
  • Store in the refrigerator.
  • Makes about 3/4 cup.

    While I like the sounds of this....how does 2 cups of cider vinegar simmered one minute become 3/4 cup? Perhaps it should be 1/2 cup cider vinegar?

    Though I've no doubt that your sauce is very tasty, it is not really Worcestershire Sauce without fermented anchovies. After all, stripped down to its most essential parts, Worcestershire sauce is a fish sauce. There is also no mention of molasses or tamarind - two of the other basic ingredients that give it it's characteristic flavour. Maybe there's a more appropriate name for this recipe?
