Pecan Waffles - Diabetic Friendly

- Ingredients: shopping list
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- ¼ cup wheat bran shopping list
- 1 Tbs. sugar shopping list
- 2 ½ tsp. baking powder shopping list
- ½ tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 egg white shopping list
- 1 ½ cups fat-free milk shopping list
- 2 Tbs. canola oil shopping list
- 1/3 chopped pecans shopping list
- non-stick cooking spray shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, bran, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, combine the egg, egg white, milk and oil; add to the dry ingredients. Fold in pecans.
- Waffle Iron: use non-stick cooking spray on waffle iron for every waffle.
- Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacture's directions until golden brown. Yield: 6 waffles.
- Serving size: 1 waffle.
- Nutritional Values: Calories per serving: 233, Fat 11, Cholesterol: 37mg, Sodium: 344mg, Carbohydrate: 28g, Fiber: 2g, Protein: 8g.
