Fried Hominy Recipe

Just a southern recipe... Our family loves this .. Hope you do to..

Ingredients
- 3-4 cups yellow or white hominy
- 3 slices chopped bacon
- 3 tablespoon butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 chopped medium onion
- 4-6 chopped jalapeno (optional)
Directions
- Put the butter into a heavy cast iron skillet
- Add chopped bacon stir until crisp..
- Remove bacon
- Put hominey and rest of ingredents in pan and fry until the kernels are slightly brown.
- Take off heat and add the bacon bits on top and serve!
- Yummy!
- Enjoy

This dish is totally yummy. My grammy made this all the time while I was growing up (yup she was a southern girl) and I have passed my love for hominy along to my girls. So there a few of us yanks that know and love hominy LOL
