How to make it

  • -preheat oven to 350F.
  • -in large bowl combine flour, brown and white sugar, cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda and cloves. set aside.
  • -in small bowl combine melted butter, molasses and eggs and add to flour mixture, stirring until well combined. Do not beat (the batter will be thick).
  • -spread batter in greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
  • -take out of oven and cool on wire rack for about 5 minutes.
  • -dust with powdered sugar (optional).
  • -cut into about 24 squares.
  • -serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (optional) and a cup of hot chocolate (optional)!
  • -enjoy!
