Fried Pickles Recipe

Fried Pickles Recipe
This may sound a little off the wall, but is a real treat for the family. I say 10 serving but you may want to count on four or five... That good old saying don't knock it till you try it!

Ingredients
  • 1 Jar Any brand pickle spears "pick one you like to eat raw"
  • 2 egg
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Cup flour
  • 2 Cups Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 1 Pinch Pepper
  • 1 Pinch Garlic

Directions
  1. Heat up your fryer. If you can select temp set for 350* F
  2. Mix your eggs and milk. You are now going to set up a breading station. First your flour seasoned with some salt, pepper, and garlic,, then your egg wash, then breadcrumbs.
  3. Now your ready for the breading, first dip your spears in the flour and coat well, you will then move on to the egg wash, let the egg wash drip off some then put into the breadcrumbs. After this it's deep frying time. Unless you feel the need to double dip!
  4. Now place your breaded pickles in the deep fryer and let cook till golden brown.
  5. At this point place the finished pickels on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil. They are best served hot so eat up!! Careful not to burn yourself.
  6. Enjoy!!!!

Fried dill pickles are a Southern staple and not off the wall in this part of the world. They're common and often found in pubs as snack food and served as appetizers in restaurants. But they are usually battered and deep fried slices. I posted a recipe for deep fried southern chips some time back, if you are interested in seeing how we do it in the South. Enjoy!.

My kids are gonna love this one....they're pickle fanatics.......Thanks
