Creole Pecan Pie

- 9 deep dish pie shell shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 6 1/2 ounces cream cheese -- soften shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar -- packed shopping list
- 1 cup pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Precook a deep dish pie shell in 400~ oven for 15 minutes; cool. Mix cream cheese, 1 egg yolk, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla. Spread this mixture evenly over bottom of pie shell. Mix together remaining eggs, brown sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla, corn syrup and pecans. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake in preheated 350~ oven for about 45 minutes. Let cool then refrigerate before cutting. Serve with dollop of whipped cream.

Sounds delicious. Last time I saw pecans here was, I've never seen pecans here. Maybe I can get some sent over from American Samoa. Cracky, pecan pie is a treat. RJ
