Mussels Mexicanos With Spicy Sausage

- 3 lbs mussels, cleaned shopping list
- 2 shallots, chopped shopping list
- 4 hot links chopped (or you can use hot italian sausage) shopping list
- 1 T. crushed garlic shopping list
- 2 chopped green onions shopping list
- 4 T. olive oil shopping list
- 4 T. sweet butter shopping list
- 1 can Mexican beer shopping list
- 1/2 c. chopped cilantro shopping list
- 1 rosemary sprig shopping list
- 2 T. Italian style spiced bread crumbs shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- jalapeno hot sauce to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Saute 2 chopped shallots, 4 chopped hot links, 1 T crushed garlic, 2 chopped scallions in olive oil with a 4 T. butter. Add 1 can Mexican beer, ½ cup water, ½ bunch chopped cilantro, 1 rosemary sprig, 3 lbs cleaned mussels. Steam covered until opened. Add 2 T of Italian bread crumbs. Mix and let sit for a minute. Add salt and jalapeno hot sauce to taste before serving.
