Slow Cooker Carolina Bbq

- 1 (5 lb.) pork shoulder roast shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon salt shopping list
- black pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons Texas Pete or Frank's hot sauce shopping list
- 1 Teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes shopping list
How to make it
- Place pork shoulder into slow cooker
- Pour vinegar over meat
- Season with salt and pepper
- Cover and cook on High for 6 -8 hours
- Remove pork from cooker and discard bone
- Reserve 2 cups of liquid
- Using 2 forks, shred pork
- Add brown sugar, hot sauce and red pepper flakes to reserved liquid
- Combine spices and liquid to ensure brown sugar is dissolved
- Return meat to slow cooker
- Stir to combine liquid with meat
- Cover and continue to cook on High 1 hour
- Reduce heat to low for serving
