How to make it

  • In a large bowl, combine soy, garlic, ginger, 1/4 cup of flour, and cornstarch.
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Place the chicken in the bowl and mix well.
  • Cover the bowl and let marinate for at least 4 hours, the longer the better.
  • In a bowl combine the remaining flour, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning.
  • Remove the chicken from the bowl and coat in the flour mixture.
  • In a pan over medium high heat add 1/2 cup vegetable oil.
  • Fry the chicken in batches, until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towels and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the ketchup, hot sauce, sugar, vinegar.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the vegetable and sesame oils.
  • Place the chicken and vegetables into the pan and cover with the ketchup mixture.
  • Bring to a simmer and cook until the chicken is tender.
