Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix all ingredients well in a small bowl.
  • Place meat of your choice into a ziplock-style bag and marinate for 45 minutes to overnight.
  • NOTE: Seafood products should never be marinated for longer than 45 minutes. The acid in this marinade will "cook" seafood or shrimp before it gets on the stove or grill and then you'll have tough stuff!
  • Enjoy!

As a side note--I have discovered that if you like the ingredients, just double it & toss into one of those "Good Seasons" type jars in the fridge door. Keeps well for a week or so--seasons up even better. Just shake, pour over your stuff & pop into a sealed baggie before work. Meat's ready fer grillin' when ya get home! Dang, I'm smooth sometimes...haha! :-) --Kn0x--

I made this using olive oil and did not have fresh lemon so let out the zest but did have juice. Made steaks with it, marinated for about 5 hours. It was delicious! Will use again. Thank you!

We had this last nite and it was absolutely FANtastic! Bryan told me to be sure and keep the recipe and to be sure to give you 5 stars!! (this was after he had fussed about being a guinea pig again the whole time I was mixing the marinade). rofl Great color on the chicken, and reallllly flavorful. I only did about 1/2 the brown sugar, cause we are diabetic and I am watching reallllly close before surgery, but it didn't seem to hurt it any. I think you are right, I think this would be awesome on ANY protein. Eager to try it on pork tenderloin and steaks. I made the marinade yesterday morning and popped it the the fridge. Poured it over my chicken in a ziploc baggie last nite, and let it sit about 45 min to an hour. YUMMMMMMY. Thanks for sharing.
