How to make it

  • Brown bacon in oil in a large Dutch oven. Add onions and cook until translucent and add garlic.
  • Add water and beef paste, turtle beans, carrots, and corned beef, cook over medium heat until the beans are about half done.
  • Add Guinness to soup and cook on low until beans are soft. You may have to add additional water as you go.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

    Anything with Guinness beer in it has to be good....that's one of my favorite beers...I will try this one

    I make a French Onion soup with Guinness that is delicious. This soup sounds like it would be a step better though. I will have to try this.

    looks awesome, guinness in black bean soup, i never would have thought of it, but the more i think about it, the better it sounds. i'll be sure to try this one out.
