How to make it

  • Prepare the dough:
  • Mix all the ingredients for mellow dough and, on a bread board, knead to a supple dough. Roll out and use as instructted in the specific recipe. In view of the large butter content of this dough, it should be thoroughly cooled before baking.
  • Prepare a cake tin with baking parchment. Roll out the chilled dough and line the baking pan.
  • Pit the plums and arrange in a cirle on the dough. Sprinke with sugar, cinnamon and almonds.
  • Bake in a fairly hot (375) oven for 30 minutes.

    also very similar to my mom's recipe too! the mellow or muerbeteig dough is a great base for all kind of fruit kuchens!
