This is awesome... Ive been to germany 3 times... I know they have good desserts over there... I would stand around the bakeries and couldnt make up my mind what to get... it all looked so good...

I have been looking in vain for a German cheesecake recipe like the one made by a German woman in the town where I live.ba She has to go several miles to get some of the ingredients - one of which is quark, I believe. Her cheesecake is incredibly creamy and dreamy, almost buttery in texture. The crust almost seems like a light spongecake. I don't know if she bakes the crust and cooks the filling separately or if the filling is baked in the crust.I would dearly love her recipe - which I am positive she won't give out,but I'd love it.
