Stovetop Clambake For Two Recipe
This is perfect when you want a clambake, but not a crowd. Shrimp or mussels may be added as well.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups water, wine or a combination of both
  • 1 teaspoon salt (if using water)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 6 small new potatoes
  • 8 ounces Italian sausage, smoked sausage or kielbasa (optional)
  • 4 ears fresh corn, husked and silk removed
  • 2 dozen littleneck clams, cleaned and sand removed
  • melted butter

Directions
  1. In large deep skillet or Dutch oven, combine water or wine, salt (if using) thyme, potatoes and sausage.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer 18 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender.
  4. Add corn and clams.
  5. Cover and cook 5 minutes or until clams open.
  6. Serve with melted butter.
