How to make it

  • Mix top 9 ingredients in a bowl, and whisk until completely combined, and not lumpy
  • Cut Cod into individual servings, about 1/4 lb each
  • Heat frying oil to about 360
  • Dredge Cod in the batter, allowing any extra to drip off before cooking
  • Place in oil, and cook for a minute or two (depending on thickness) before turning over
  • When done, place fried fish in a paper bag, and salt to taste and shake it up a little in the bag.
  • Drink the remaining 2 oz of beer
  • Homemade tarter sauce:
  • 2 parts mayonnaise to 1 part relish
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice per 1/2 cup of tarter mix
  • 1/4 tsp lemon zest per 1/2 cup of tarter mix
