Swallow Your Tongue Bucket Steak Recipe
The old bucket steak (cubed steak) of yesteryear arrives in a new and healthier style to liven up your dinner table when you're feeling like comfort food. And isn't that all the time???

Ingredients
  • 6 large pieces bucket steak
  • 4 TBS crisco, or to preference
  • 1 envelope mushroom onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 TBS reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. dill, optional

Directions
  1. Mix sour cream, soy sauce and brown sugar and dill in mixing bowl.
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  3. Melt the crisco in a large skillet.
  4. Add the pieces of meat, sprinkle each side with soup mix, salt and pepper, brown well on each side. Remove from skillet onto brown paper or paper towels to drain, then place into 9x13 baking dish.
  5. Cover meat and surrounding areas with sauce.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  7. Savor!
