Ingredients

How to make it

  • Crush up the Oreos in the gallon bag using a rolling pin
  • Using a mixing bowl, use your hands to mix the Oreo crumbs & the cream cheese. You should end up with a black paste.
  • Roll pieces of the paste into balls, put them on a seperate plate. You should get around 30
  • Put the melting chocolate in the casserole dish, then sit it in the big pot with the water inside. You will almost boil the water (medium high) with the chocolate hovering over it. DO NOT have the casserole dish in the water.
  • Stir the chocolate until it is nice & melted.
  • Put a Oreo ball into the melted chocolate & coat it using the big spoon or fork to move it around
  • Once coated, put them on the cookie sheet that is covered with the wax paper.
  • Once they are all done, put them in the fridge for about 30 minutes & they are good to go!!!!

Thank you for sharing this recipe, they came out delicious!!! I didn't have time to get the melting chocolate from the crafting store, so I substituted Dove dark chocolate squares (2 - 9oz bags) from the food store. I wound up with a total of 37 truffles. My family gobbled them all up on Christmas eve. :o)

These were already on my list to make today using white almond bark. I had never heard of them before but sounds like a lot of people have! LOL

    Have a Merry Christmas!

I use my food processor to grind up the oreos and cream cheese. The use a small cookie scoop to make the balls. I also use the white almond bark to dip the balls in after they have set in the refrig. or freezer.
