How to make it

  • cream butter and powdered sugar till light
  • gradualy add flour, mix well
  • Press onto bottom of 13X9 pan, greased
  • Bake 350 degrees--18-20 min
  • spread jam over crust
  • beat egg whites till fluffy and soft peaks form
  • add sugar, 1 T at a time, till stiff peaks form
  • fold in coconut and 1/2 c almonds
  • Spread over jam, sprinkle withe remaining almonds
  • bake 350 degress---18-22 min
