How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • In skillet over medium low heat, saute onions with salt and pepper until tender
  • Add grated garlic and cook another minute or so
  • Remove from skillet to large mixing bowl to cool
  • Once onion is cool add next 9 ingredients and mix until just combined
  • *Note: If mixture is too moist, add more breadcrumbs. If too dry, add more ketchup*
  • Fill a #16 (2 oz.) ice cream scoop with meat mixture
  • With finger, put indentation into meat mixture
  • Add cheese and release from scoop
  • Cover cheese with meat mixture making sure to seal cheese in; repeat until meat mixture is gone.
  • Place on baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes
  • Add to Marinara sauce
