Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cream butter, egg yolk, and vanilla.
  • Sift icing sugar and flour into the creamed mixture.
  • Mix to combine into a workable dough.
  • Roll out and cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
  • Place cookies onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Decorate with sprinkles, coloured sugar, chocolate chips or leave plain.
  • Bake in a preheated 325F oven for 20 minutes. Cookies should not have much, if any, browning.
  • Let cool completely on sheets.

    Look under my avatar, you can see my son eating our Christmas tradition cookies, he was about 6 there and is now 10. They are a lot like your recipe. Just basic sugar cookies. He likes to add sprinkles.
