- Crust: shopping list
- 1 cup of brown sugar firmly packed shopping list
- 1/2 cup of butter shopping list
- 2 egg yolks, beaten shopping list
- dash of salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup of flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 1 cup of brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla shopping list
- dash salt shopping list
- 1 cup of chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Crust:
- Cream sugar and butter, add egg yolks, salt and sifted dry ingredients. Blend in vanilla.
- Pat in bottom of a 9 x 9 inch pan.
- Topping:
- Beat egg whites until stiff; add brown sugar gradually.
- Stir in vanilla, salt and nuts. Spread over first mixture in pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 25-28 minutes.
- Cool and cut into squares.
- Serve plain or with ice cream.
