Banana Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting

Got this from Taste of Home.....didn't have a 15x10 pan so I used a 13x9 and baked it a little longer than the recipe says to. They turned out great and it's nice to have recipe other than banana bread to use up those ripe bananas.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 sp.baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup) shopping list
- FROSTING: shopping list
- 1-8 oz. package cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1 stick butter, softened shopping list
- 2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 4 cups powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla and mix until combined
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt
- Gradually add to wet mixture.
- Stir in banana
- Spread into greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean
- Cool
- Frosting
- Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy
- Gradually beat in sugar until combined
- Frost bars
