How to make it

  • Combine cornstarch with 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Add pork and garlic powder, tossing to coat. Set aside.
  • Combine remaining 1 tablespoon soy sauce, broth, hoisin, sesame oil, and honey in a medium bowl, stirring until smooth.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork mixture to pan; sauté until browned. Stir in onion and peas. Saute until crisp-tender.
  • Add broth mixture, simmer until thick and pork is cooked through. Serve over rice or noodles.
  • (I left the sauce as-is and served it over the rice. Add more cornstarch (mixed with a small amount of water) to the sauce when simmering if you prefer a thicker sauce.)
