Ingredients

How to make it

  • Trim Brussel sprouts. And cut a small X in the stem end, so they cook evenly.
  • Place sprouts, chopped onion and the 1/2 cup water in a medium pan. Drizzle olive oil on top of all. Cover and cook on medium-high heat for approx. 8 or so minutes, or until tender. Pour any excess water out when done. Keep sprouts in pan.
  • Add the honey, butter and Dijon mustard on top of the cooked sprouts and onions. Stir gently and reheat to blend. If needed, add more water.
  • Sprinkle with salt or pepper, if desired.

Straight, simple to the point. I'll be given my Homemade Dijon Mustard a work out with this one. I'm test driving brussel sprout recipes prior to Thanksgiving. For some reason this was my Thanksgiving assignment by the family.
