How to make it

  • Cut edges off of all slices of bread to create a single square with no crusts, from each piece.
  • Layer bottom halves of all pieces with a slice of pear, 2-3 small slices of meat(depending on thickness and size of each pieces....mine were very thinly sliced and fit the pieces of cut bread perfectly :)
  • Add a slice of cheese, then a couple slices of peppadews, then a bit of arugala.
  • Drizzle inside of all the top halves of bread with a bit of olive oil then rub lightly with cut end of garlic.
  • Place on cookie sheet or baking stone in a 250 oven and toast for about 3-7 minutes, just until cheese is melty and breads are lightly toasted.
  • These are wonderful with wine. :)
