Heirloom Tomato Salad

- 2 pounds mini heirloom tomatoes (cherry or pear also work) shopping list
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup olive oil (extra virgin) shopping list
- 1/2 cup basil, chopped/torn shopping list
- sea salt & black pepper , freshly ground - to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Slice tomatoes in half.
- In a medium bowl, combine Balsamic and sugar. Whisk to combine. Slowly whisk in oil. Toss tomatoes lightly in dressing along with basil, salt and pepper. Best if you allow to rest for 30 minutes before serving, just toss again before you serve.
