How to make it

  • Cobbler: In a medium saucepan add brown sugar, corn starch, as much nutmeg and cinnamon as you want, and water. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add peaches, butter, and lemon juice. Heat through and set aside keeping warm. I just shut my burner off and leave the pot on the stove.
  • Biscuit topping: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder in a bowl and mix well. Add butter and blend until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add beaten egg and milk, mix until everything is just moist. spoon over.
  • Place peach mixture into an 8x8 or 9x9 pan and spoon biscuit topping on top. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes on 400 degrees F.
  • Enjoy with vanilla ice cream, I do :)
