How to make it

  • (Braise or preboil grated cabbage to soften) (drain well )
  • In large bowl: mix eggbeaters & egg whites with scallion & onion
  • Add drained cabbage and flour-mix well
  • Add seasonings to taste
  • (If needed add a little more flour to make it easier to handle)
  • Heat 1 tbsp canola oil in non stick skillet over medium high heat
  • With wet hands, form latke (about 1-1/2" in diameter) and fry on both sides till cooked (do not move around till firm crust forms on bottom). Cook 5-8 minutes on each side
  • Wipe skillet between batches and add a little oil if needed only
