Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • Spray 2 qt. baking dish with cooking spray
  • Cut potatoes into 1/8 inch slices (I used a mandolin)
  • In saucepan over medium heat, melt butter
  • Add onion and cook until tender
  • Stir in flour, salt and pepper
  • Cook, stirring constantly until almost bubbly
  • Remove from heat
  • Slowly stir in milk and then 1 1/2 cups cheese
  • Over med low heat, stirring constantly heat until cheese is melted
  • Spread 1/2 potatoes in casserole dish
  • Spread ham over potatoes
  • Add remaining potatoes
  • Pour cheese sauce over casserole
  • Bake covered 1 hour
  • Top with remaining cheese
  • Bake uncovered until top is golden brown and bubbly
