Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 325
  • Grease loaf pan
  • Mash bananas in a bowl
  • Add all other ingredients, mix well.
  • Mix in optional ingredients (I just dropped the nuts in by handfuls, no measuring)
  • Bake 1 hour.
  • Cool before cutting (or just cut the best you can while still warm, my favorite way!!)
  • YUM

This was so very moist and tasty. I used three bananas as they were huge and added a hand full of chocolate chips. The recipe is easy to follow and the bread was done in exactly one hour. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

This is a great banana bread. Fast to pull together and very moist. Will be making again.

I made this and it was great! Next time I switched out bananas for 2 cups cinnamon applesauce and a handful of raisins. This made an excellent and much less complicated applesauce bread.

This is the best banana bread recipe...I've been making muffins instead of loaves with it, though (lack of a loaf, pan, haha!) First time, I tossed cinnamon-brown sugar-honey roasted pecan halves in and chocolate chips, and made homemade cream cheese icing to put on top, they were for Thanksgiving and everyone loved them. I just made them last night, and threw pecan halves and some cinnamon in, and pressed brown sugar into the top of them. SO good!

i made this with only 2 large bananas, as that was all i had. this is a wonderful recipe. the flavor was so smooth and soft, none of the harshness that i often find in other banana breads. because i only used 2 bananas, the banana flavor was delicate. next time i'll try it with 3 bananas and compare!

Yep, this sounds great. The secret to great banana bread is those over-ripe naners! I love to add vanilla and cinnamon

Okay wow, I made this bread and it is so yummy!

I did put it in two baking pans. Every time I make a bread that is too thick it never cooks all the way through. This came out perfect I checked with 7 minutes to go and it was perfect!

I am a seasoned banana bread maker and I love this recipe much more than mine. I was a skeptic when I didn't see the cinnamon or nutmeg but it is YUM-MY!
