Quick, easy, pretty dish to make. I like to serve it with Italian food or just as a snack.

Ingredients
  • 12 pieces of bread, sliced into bite size pieces.
  • 2 Tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/3 cup of Olive Oil
  • Seasonings-I use oregano, italian seasoning, garden mix
  • 12 slices Provolone cheese
  • 6 sage leaves, optional

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Mix seasonings with olive oil
  3. Place bread onto pan and lightly cover with oil mixture
  4. Top with slice of cheese and tomato
  5. Lightly cover with more oil
  6. If want to sprinkle chopped sage leaves on top
  7. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until cheese melts

I do this quite a bit, have you tried a few slices of thin avocado on this? it's so so good.

Alterations


A suggestion would be to just keep the bread whole, toast it on one side, when ready to be toasted on the other side then add everything, so you don't get stuck with part soggy bread. Just a nice and crisp lunch / snack. Also maybe use some fresh mozzarella ( in the ball) omg it's so good.
