How to make it

  • Mix corn flour, all purpose flour, egg, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder and salt to thick batter. Add water if required.
  • Add chicken pieces to the batter and marinate for an hour.
  • Deep fry the marinated chicken pieces till they turn golden.
  • Add color to the curd, mix well and keep aside.
  • Heat 4 tsp of oil in a pan, add chillies, curry leaves, fry for a minute.
  • Now add curd, fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add the fried chiken and mix well. keep on tossing the chicken. Let it fry for 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.

    curd is also called plain yogurt(lime juice or vinegar is added to milk and left for 1 or 2 days, it forms curd). Cottage cheese is processed form of curd and is usually thick. Both vary in taste.

    What exactly is "curd"? All I can think of is cottage cheese. Is that the same or similar?

    Color is added to the curd and mixed well, then it is added to oil.
