Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a saucepan combine 3/4 cup of water with the sugar, lemon juice, lemon peel and vanilla extract.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and add the fruit.
  • Simmer 5 minutes.
  • Remove the lemon rind and cool the cooked fruit for 2 hours.
  • Arrange the fruit in eight individual serving dishes and pour a few teaspoons of syrup over the fruit.

    I just made this this weekend to serve to our dinner guests. At first, I was a little dissapointed because it didnt turn out the way I though it would (and it looks so different from the pics) but when I tasted it my dissapointment quickly dissapeared!! it was so delicious and my guests all loved it! thanks alot for this recipe
