From keni 11 years agoIngredients
- 1 1/2 cups butter, softened shopping list
- 1 cup raw sugar(can sub light brown, if desired) shopping list
- 4 egg yolks shopping list
- 2t vanilla shopping list
- 3/4 cup malted milk powder(this is sweetened malt powder, sold in some supermarkets by Nestle) shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1t kosher or sea salt shopping list
- about 9-10oz Whoppers or other chocolate covered malted milk candy, crushed shopping list
- about 1/4 cup nutella spread shopping list
How to make it
- Using an electric mixer, beat butter until fluffy.
- Add sugar and cream well.(raw sugar doesn't get as light and fluffy as white sugar, so just make sure it's all combined well. :)
- Add vanilla and mix again.
- Add egg yolks, one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Add flour, malted milk powder, and salt, mixing slowly and mix until just combined.
- By hand, fold dough a few times to make sure it's evened out.
- Roll dough between slightly wet palms to make about 1 inch balls.
- Roll each into the crushed candy and place on a prepared cookie sheet or stone.
- Lightly press a thumb into the center of each dough ball to create a shallow well. Don't over push, here, as you wanna make sure not to go through to the stone, below! Don't worry, you will have a chance, later, to enhance the well.
- Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes, until lightly browning.
- Remove from oven but leave on the stone/pan.
- Using a small spoon, lightly press the middle of each cookie to create a better "well".
- Add about 1t Nutella spread to each well.
- Let cookies cool on stone about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack for cooling, completely.
