I never used avocado except in guacamole or salads and sandwiches with tomato and egg. I always wanted a desert that wasn't baked.
What a great recipe thanks.

Aaah Nicole, you pull the heart strings of a man with a very sweet tooth. I love the look of this. I think as I live in the UK I will just have to make a shortcrust pastry for this as i dont think we get 'Graham cracker pie crusts' here. Maybe a little bit vanilla essence in the pastry might go nice. I'll let you know how much weiht Ive gained after eating a few portions..lol..many thx..

It was pretty tasty.
To make my crust I used 1 pkg (1/2 box) graham crackers, 1/2 cup macadamia nuts and 5 T melted butter (in the food processor).
I used lime juice and zest in place of lemon juice and added lime juice and zest to the whipped cream.

Wow this looks so different. Is it just sweet tasting? What I mean is does it taste like eating a sweetened avocado?

Wow!!! I fondly remember the fresh, sweet avocado juice (mixed with milk and sugar) that I drank on the square in Marrakesh when I visited Morocco many years ago. This is a must-try for sure.

Whipped cream on avocado's---I just don't know about that!! I think a pie with cream cheese bacon and tomatoes would be good----add some green onions and crab----
but sweet I don't know ;-)
Love avocado's though, I'll have to try it and see I guess.

This may sound crazy, but it's really not. I make avocado ice cream (!) and put a scoop of it in a bowl of spicy gazpacho. Then, before serving, I sprinkle it with finely chopped green and yellow peppers and a bit of finely chopped cilantro. The combination of flavors is incredible. Think about it.

What a wonderful way to use avocados! My uncle grows his own avocados and I just can't wait for harvest time so i can make this pie from the freshest avocados I can lay may hands on!!!
I'm sure it will be a hit, so i don't even want to imagine the calories in it. LOL!!!

Here in Brazil, avocados are almost always prepared sweet, usually simply with sugar and lime juice. Most Brazilians find guacamole strange and many don't like it. But they love desserts made with sweetened condensed milk, so I'm saving this recipe!

I just made this today and just finished off the first piece and I have to say it was a delight! I changed 2 things though. I added ground pecans to the crust and added an additional avocado half instead of just one avocado.
I will definitely make this again and again!!

This look yummy, thanks for sharing, I'll have to try this soon. I've posted an avocado ice cream recipe which is similar and also divine. I like that this has a crust, I'll have to create a gluten free version. THANKS
