Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place all the ingredients into the crockpot except the chicken breasts (I used a crockpot liner).
  • Stir around with a spatula to make sure everything is mixed and incorporated well. Tuck the chicken pieces into the mixture making sure the chicken is covered.
  • Cook on low for 10 hours or on high for 6 hours.
  • Minutes before serving, remove the chicken from the pot and shred the chicken. I used two forks and it shred really easily. Add back to the crockpot and stir chicken back into the mix.
  • Serve with whatever toppings you prefer. I used Mexican blend shredded cheese and green onions and scooped it up with tortilla chips instead of a spoon.

This is great! So easy to throw together too. I only had to cook it on low for 4 hrs and the chicken was fall apart tender. I did use the cumin and a mix of chili and chipotle powder. Like FA, I also scooped it with tortilla chips instead of a spoon! :)
